Data controller
FunESL Academy, organiser of the English Mastery Competition. The controller’s contact details will be published as soon as the client provides them.
What we collect
- School participation form: school name and details; name, role, email and phone of the person requesting.
- Sponsor form: company, contact person, email and phone.
- Coordinator portal: the coordinator’s first name, last name, email and phone.
- Students registered by the coordinator: first names, last names, grade and, optionally, section. We record whether the guardian authorises the use of the student’s image, with the date and the person who recorded it. We never collect a child’s ID number, address, photo, phone or email.
Why we use it
To manage school participation, organise the competition, communicate with coordinators and sponsors, and honour image authorisations. We do not sell or share data with third parties for commercial purposes.
Children’s data
Students’ data is visible only to their school’s coordinator and the organising team. Every change to an image authorisation is recorded in a history that cannot be altered. Competition media only includes students with authorisation.
Retention
Requests are kept while they are being handled. Students’ data is kept during the edition and for up to 12 months after it is archived; after that it is anonymised. This period is pending validation by FunESL Academy’s legal advisor.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, or withdraw a student’s image authorisation, by writing to the organisers. Contact details will be published on this page.
Providers
The site is hosted on Cloudflare and transactional emails are sent with Resend. Both act as processors following our instructions.
